Terms of Use

Effective date: May 24, 2026 · petvalid.com

The short version

PetValid is a tool to help you organize your pet's emergency information. Use it responsibly. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, and we make no guarantee that the information stored will be acted upon in any emergency situation.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using PetValid ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms apply to all users of the App.

2. License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PetValid solely for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

3. Important Safety Disclaimer

PetValid is an information organizer, not an emergency response system. The App stores information you choose to enter. We cannot guarantee that first responders, veterinarians, or any other person will see, read, or act on information stored in PetValid. In any pet emergency, always contact a veterinarian directly. Do not rely solely on the App as your emergency plan.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter. Outdated contact numbers, incorrect medical information, or missing data could affect outcomes in an emergency. Keep your pet's card up to date.

4. In-App Purchases

PetValid Pro is available as a monthly subscription ($1.99/month) or a one-time lifetime purchase ($7.99). Prices may vary by region.

All billing is handled by Apple. We have no access to your payment information.

5. User Content

All content you enter into PetValid (pet names, contact details, medical information, photos) remains yours. You retain full ownership. Your data is stored in our cloud database and cached locally on your device for offline access. We use this data solely to provide the App's services and make no claim of ownership over your content.

You are responsible for ensuring that any personal information you enter about third parties (such as emergency contact names and phone numbers) is accurate and that those individuals consent to being listed.

6. Intellectual Property

The PetValid name, logo, design, and all associated content are owned by LumenWorx LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our branding without explicit written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

PetValid is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LumenWorx LLC and PetValid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to outcomes in a pet emergency situation.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, including any in-app purchases.

9. App Store Terms

Your use of PetValid is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms take precedence with respect to your use of the App Store.

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for PetValid.

10. Changes to the App or Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and note the change in our app update release notes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ohio.
